Rezeki Muzik Joins PAA!

Punks Against Apartheid is overjoyed to announce our latest signatory from Japan, Rezeki Muzik! @rmrezekimuzik

Rezeki Muzik is a Japan-based artist who combines experimental music, which stylistically moves between genres such as noise, post-rock, synthpunk and no wave, with radical lyrics that with themes such as capitalism, Palestine, colonialism and climate change.

We welcome the growth of PAA in Japan at time of increasing racism & xenophobia towards foreigners & revival of right-wing, colonial-nostalgic politics. It is more important than ever to stick together and build alternatives to the oppressive, racist, genocidal & ecocidal structures that are threatening our world with destruction. We urge other artists & punks in Japan to follow Rezeki Muzik’s example and join in our global movement to wage that intersectional struggle, for which ‘Palestine is the compass.’

We can’t wait to collaborate with Rezeki Muzik & share more resistance music with you all.

Rezeki Muzikは日本を拠点に活動するアーティストで、ノイズ、ポストロック、シンセパンク、ノーウェーブなどのジャンルを行き来する実験的な音楽と、資本主義、パレスチナ、植民地主義、気候変動などをテーマにしたラディカルな歌詞を組み合わせている。

外国人に対する差別や排外主義が強まり、植民地主義への郷愁を伴う右派的な政治が再び力を持ち始めている今、日本でPunks Against Apartheidの輪が広がることをうれしく思います。今こそ団結し、私たちの世界を脅かす抑圧的で人種差別的、ジェノサイド的、環境破壊的な社会構造に代わる選択肢をともに築くことが、これまで以上に重要になっています。Rezeki Muzikの行動に続き、日本の他のアーティストやパンクスたちも、世界的な運動に加わってくれることを強く呼びかけます。交差する闘いの中で、「パレスチナは羅針盤」です。

Rezeki Muzikと協働し、さらなる抵抗音楽をみなさんと共有することを楽しみにしています。

Slide 2: It’s more important now than ever to raise our voices against the injustices the people of Palestine suffer. The genocide is the peak of a class war waged on the poor and marginalised around the world. From the silencing of voices to actual physical violence, this war is real and its horrors are unfolding before our eyes. Solidarity with Palestine is solidarity with all of humanity.
Slide 3: The essence of punk is to speak truth to power, defy capital, and defend the downtrodden. I decided to join PAA because artists I highly respect are amongst its ranks. Music is our voice, our voice is our weapon.
Slide 4: パレスチナの人々が苦しんでいる不公正に対して声を上げることは今こそ大事です。ジェノサイドは世界中の貧しい人々や疎外されている人々に仕掛けられている階級闘争の頂点です。声の封殺から物理的暴力まで、この戦争は現実であり、その悲惨は私たちの目の前で繰り広げられている。パレスチナとの連帯は、全人類との連帯です。
Slide 5: パンクの本質は、権力に真実を語り、資本に反抗し、社会的弱者を守ることです。PAAに参加することにしたのは、尊敬するアーティストがメンバーにいたからです。音楽は我々の声であり、声は我々の武器。
