As we showed in our recent summary report on how things have been going so far, we have already rattled Aichi with our small campaign! As people around the world learn more about Japanese complicity in genocide, the campaign grows–as does the shame of Aichi’s silence!

Last week they blocked us on most of their socials. So this week we are asking everyone to use the QR code in the slides or the following link to MASS E-MAIL the Aichi prefecture, Tech Incubator, and related bodies to let them know we AREN’T GOING AWAY!

AICHI PICK A SIDE: JUSTICE, OR GENOCIDE?

Slide 1: Cancel the Aichi-Israel Matching Proram! Weekly Phone & Inbox Blocked #SMASHTHEMATCH! A green kuffiyyeh background with a smartphone with a Palestine map background. Slide 2: What Is It? Since 2022, the Aichi Prefectural Government in Japan has partnered with the Israel Innovation Authority (IIA) & Startup Nation Central (SNC) to promote collaborations between ‘Israeli’ startups and companies in Aichi. Despite 21 months of non-stop genocidal war crimes and calls by the local community to cancel this program, this collaboration is belligerently pushing forward to “integrate Israeli cutting-edge technology” into Japan’s manufacturing region Claiming to promote “Climate, Agri-Food, and Health Tech”, in reality, this “innovation” alliance is in lock-step with Japan’s rapid re-militarization. This program is a deadly fusion of Israel’s immoral, genocidal tech industry with some of the most advanced manufacturers in the world, many of which have barely washed their hands of the bloody profits of Japan’s own imperialist wars.
Slide 3: WHAT’S NEXT? After our last global day of action on 20/08, the Aichi government reacted not by listening to its citizens or world opinion, but instead by blocking our accounts and deleting negative comments from their pages. We have reports from Japan that the prefecture is beginning to take notice. That’s a good thing! In the lead up to the September 1st petition hand-in date led by the Nagoya Mothers’ Association for Palestinian Children, we will therefore continue to ramp up the pressure! Today, on our fourth global day of action, we have decided to redirect the energy of our community given the Aichi prefecture’s cowardly actions. Please see slide 4 for instructions!
SLIDE 4: This week, we are calling on our global community to send mass e-mails to the Aichi-Israel Matching Program administrators and connected companies by following the link/QR code below. It takes less than 2 minutes and they can’t delete the messages! Please take a screenshot when you are done and send it to us.
SLIDE 5: THEMES Japanese companies care a lot about their kind, ‘unassuming’ international image. It’s important that we show them that the world is watching–and that we won’t accept quiet evasions! Points to cover: Demand that the Aichi-Israel Matching Program be cancelled immediately Disappointment at the violation of human rights & international law Cancelling future plans to travel to Aichi/Japan because of this partnership Commitment to spread the boycott amongst the Japanese diaspora Demand for transparency around why previous petitions of over 20,000 signatures were ignored
