As we prepare for our next global day of action on 27/08 in support of the #SMASHTHEMATCH campaign to CANCEL AICHI-ISRAEAL MATCHING PROGRAM, we provide here some updates & reflections on how far we’ve come since we launched the first picket just a month ago!
The Aichi prefecture, like the Japanese government itself, likes to hide behind cosy tourist pictures, global cultural conferences, & its ‘Peace Constitution’ while hiding its active collaboration with ‘Israeli’ tech companies which are intimately linked up with the structure of occupation and genocide.
We say along with the residents of Aichi NO to tech-washing ‘innovation’ partnerships, NO to the Matching Program, YES to full BDS and rapid isolation of the Zionist Entity.
The petition hand in date, led by the Nagoya Mothers’ Association for Palestinian Children, will likely be in mid-September. We will continue applying as much pressure as possible until then to let the Aichi government know–in support of our Japanese members–that the world is watching!

The Aichi government may have blocked us on socials, but this is just a recognition that they’re taking notice and getting annoyed. We have a new tactic for 27/08 , which we can’t wait to share with you. In the meantime, keep recording videos & sending in photos of your solidarity and we’ll post it on our page!
