🚨📲 SMASH THE MATCH WEEK 9📲🚨

[INSTRUCTIONS ON SLIDES 4!]

(Updated template ∆)

With over 1,800 e-mails sent and hundreds of comments posted on Aichi-related pages, the recent disruption and takeover of the Aichi Triennale, & the RESIGNATION of the corporate liaison connected to the Aichi-Israel Matching Program from the Triennale Committee, the SMASHTHEMATCH campaign just keeps going!!

Now in our 9th week, we need to keep the pressure on. The Nagoya Mothers for Palestinian Children handed in their petition on 17/09, but the only thing that will get it heard sooner is making it a BIG international issue that the governor of Aichi (Omura) will ultimately prioritise as it becomes an unavoidable issue. He is now on the list of people you e-mail when you send the petition, as well as the Obayashi Corporation, the main sponsor of the Aichi Triennale. They are complicit in both the occupation of Okinawa through its construction of the Henoko base, AND a BDS violator for employing Innoviz laser technology in doing so from the Zionist Entity!

So we ask our global community to KEEP SENDING E-MAILS this week, EVEN IF YOU DID IT BEFORE! Log out & back in, or use another e-mail address to LET THEM KNOW what we think about hosting this ‘peaceful’ sporting event in a prefecture complicit in genocide!

DO NOT think your comments and emails are meaningless. We consistently hear back from our comrades in Japan that it 1) boosts local organisers’ confidence, 2) creates a headache and pressure on Aichi officials who care a lot about their int’l ‘image’, and 3) creates the ‘chatter’ that gets reporters and human rights orgs interested in the deep-investigative work we need to PROVE the despicable genocidal links in the global supply chain locally in Aichi.

The four main demands of SMASHTHEMATCH continue to be:

A full report on historical details of the Matching Program

The IMMEDIATE end of the Matching Program + written confirmation

A formal apology to the community for the harms caused by this program

A written commitment to NEVER engage in any future partnerships with ‘Israeli’ companies

Remember… No one action is enough to meet our responsibility to the Palestinian people. So send e-mails, donate to fundraisers (like our bi-weekly highlight for @aseel_harara!), and GET OUT ON THE STREETS when and where you are able to keep escalating for Palestine.

AICHI, PICK A SIDE: JUSTICE OR GENOCIDE?
