Excentrik (re)joins PAA!

[29/09/26 IG Repost]

We are so happy to announce our newest signatory from Occupied Karkin Land (‘California’ in the so-called ‘US’), @excentrik ! In fact, Excentrik was an OG SIGNATORY of PAA’s original Points of Unity back in the 2010s, which you can see by scrolling to the bottom of the Signatories page on our website!

Excentrik is a Palestinian producer, multi-instrumentalist and MC best known for his oud and percussion-driven beats, political vitriol and passionate lyrics. A legend of Arab-American Hip-Hop, his diverse discography includes the revolutionary group Arab Summit (alongside Omar Offendum, Narcy and Ragtop), multiple film scores, the experimental Jazz trio The 3 Mohammads, and many more. Excentrik’s latest album, Watani 77 is a 77 minute ode to 77 years of brutal colonization, occupation and Nakba in Palestine.

Our network continues to grow with new members & returning veterans alike. We are so excited for what we are capable of together! All workers and artists must continue to build our power and think of ourselves not as merely passive culture-workers, but as part of a larger movement to build autonomous political spaces which can advance our struggles forward. As Excentrik says in his joining statement: “They are not invincible. And we are not weak!”

Image with a faded kuffiyeh pattern in the background overlaid with text & image blocks. On top, it reads ‘Announcing!’ diagonally overlaid in white on a black strip, and below, two circular logos outlined in white on their own black strip. The one on the left shows a man sitting in a folding chair with a kufiyyeh on his head holding an oud instrument against a partially-lit green background. The one on the right is the Punks Against Apartheid logo, which shows a fist with a spikey bracelet punching through the apartheid wall & the text ‘PUNKS AGAINST APARTHEID’ around the circle’s edge.
I signed up back in the early 2010's and it's even more relevant today to be vocal and active in the BDS and anti-apartheid movement. There can be no complacency in the face of widespread censorship and repression when the perpetrators of genocide are literally acting with impunity. They are not invincible. And we are not weak.
A sepia-toned photo of a man wearing a beanie, glasses, and a jacket. He is sitting on a yellow couch, holding an electric guitar against a partially-lit background. Below, a long horizontal banner depicting a punk mosh pit, with large red squiggly letters depicting PUNKS AGAINST APARTHEID on top, and a punk giving the finger on the right saying ‘racism ain’t punk.’
