Monthly Mutual Aid Highlight for Palestinian Families (01/11-30/11)

[01/11/26 IG Repost]

Announcing our next Monthly Highlight for 01/11-30/11 Shaimaa! ( @shimmaemohammed )! Please see SLIDE 2 or visit tinyurl.com/paa-nov-shaimaa to go directly to their page to donate!

This last month, we surpassed our wildest expectations! Not only did we manage to raise OVER €2,150 (~£1,800 / $2,400) for Naheel, but thanks to the huge success of Decolonise Fest ( @decolonisefest ), Anarchist Book Fair ( @bookfairlondon ), and some amazing events in Detroit (@knotwork_crusher_crust ), Minneapolis ( @majorm_band ), Chicago ( @crustgrindchicago @contracharge ), London ( @signaturebrewe8 & @piehouse.coop ), Germany ( @anarchists4palestine ), Brighton ( @realitybreakdown_ + @emswrld.art ), as well as shop sales from our friends at Freedom Bookshop ( @freedombookshop ) , Piehouse, and People’s Letters ( @peoplesletters ) , we ALSO got started on Shaimaa’s campaign with an initial €903 (~£753 / $1,008) !!

This isn’t even counting all the other smaller donations we were able to make to other families & organisations like The Palestine Music Space ( @thepalestinemusicspace ), Da3m Support ( @da3m.support ) , and Arms Embargo from Below ( @aefrombelow ) , which we will include in our next Transparency Report. We’re blown away!!! ❤🇵🇸🎂❤🇵🇸🎂❤🇵🇸🎂HUGE THANKS to everyone who pitched in and helped make the end of this year so overflowing with support to all of our friends & comrades!!!!!!

Receipts for this cycle will, as always, be posted on Stories + in our twice-yearly financial reports. You can also check the public campaign page to verify donations made directly through our network!

Remember: while fundraising is not enough, we must not forget our responsibilities to our comrades & kin. Don’t stop organising but DO keep building mutual aid networks–we’ll need to keep building them for the long-haul, so they can grow beyond symbolic support to truly living up to their name!!

Monthly mutual aid campaign highlight for Palestinian families Join us each month as we highlight an individual fundraiser across our network to boost campaigns in need!
Support Shaimaa's family This week, we are boosting Shaimaa's family fundraiser. Remember, regardless of how much has been raised previously, prices in Gaza are skyrocketing, so the more donated the better. What will the $€£ be used for? Medical Care Food & Groceries Childcare items Travel & other basic necessities What is mutual aid? According to Dean Spade, mutual aid is “collective coordination to meet each other’s needs, usually from an awareness that the systems we have in place are not going to meet them.” Learning, mobilizing, & solving problems together! Solidarity, not charity! theanarchistlibrary.org/library/dean-spade-mutual-aid Username: @shimmaemohammed tinyurl.com/paa-nov-shaimaa please leave a note commenting 'PAA'
What else can i do?! You can coordinate with us to pair with a family and consistently fundraise for them rather than give one-off donations. You can coordinate concerts, bake sales, and other events in your community to boost the amount given on a regular basis. You can push yourself out of your comfort zone and make sure to always pair mutual aid with concrete political action, which is ultimately what the Palestinian liberation movement needs to achieve its aims. Remember: nihilism and despair are a cul-de-sac with no exit. Don’t fall for the terminally-online doomer trap! Our enemies want us to give up. But we need all hands on deck! ONWARDS! FREE PALESTINE!
